Following an injury to your shoulder or clavicle your medical team may recommend pendulum exercises to help you regain movement in your shoulder.

These exercises should be done as your pain allows.  Please ensure you are taking adequate pain relief for your injury.

To perform the exercises you should lean forward and gently move your arm from side to side in front of you.

You should lean forward and gentle draw a small circle with your hand, the size of the circle can slowly increase through as your pain improves.

You should continue to use your sling or collar and cuff between exercise sessions. Please ensure that you are frequently (many times a day) moving you fingers, wrist, and elbow otherwise they will become stiff.
